In all FIVA favoured classic car events everything that only sounds like having digital components is strictly forbidden.
An analog speedmaster will cost you a lot.
We use a concealed bike computer with great success.(great for average speed and covered distance)
Calibration with GPS and the 10 wheel turns method with chalkstripes both work fine.
Different brands of tyres have different wheel circumferances.

would you suggest me the best spot to place the sensor and magnet?
I have seen the photo with the wheel but I wouldn't like to use any epoxy glue as this would make removing it very difficult.

any other idea?

Thats right, there is the piece u put on the wheel of the bicyclespoke. This is also glued on to the rim.

But it works fine This way.

hi! That's a nice idea. But the main problem is that the distance between them must be at max 2 cm!
So the bracket must be quite stable.Except that I don't know how it will work when the disc will come hot!

Rollo if you have tried it and it works fine then I can't say more!
I will try the Sigma's instructions.

even uitspitten,

de montage op het voorwiel heeft zo z'n nadelen, ivm doorslippen (raid trail etc) heb hem op het achterwiel gemonteerd, kwam uiit op1827mm, nadien getest met gps = perfekte snelheid en afstanden. Leuk hebbeding!

Is inmiddels al een heel tijdje geleden, maar ik herinner mij dat David mij indertijd goed geholpen heeft ivm verfvraagjes ; dus :






het hoekijzertje is gelast op de trommelhouder (naam vergeten, van dat ding!) en de 3 witte colsonbandjes waren enkel om de tec7 z'n werk te laten doen.

Iedereen doet het ergens op het vliegwiel of zo.

Hello,

ja, in het motorcompartiment loopt er al vanalles, hoe minder brol er zich onder de motorkap bevindt des te beter, in raid-toestanden kun je best dit soort dingen vermijden bij de voorwielen me dunkt, trouwens er is de slip die meespeelt en ik kan jullie garanderen dat er soms slip is bij 15% klim over ronde keien over een afstand van meer dan 10 km! Wel moet je dus de twee minuscule draadjes verlengen (solderen) tot vanvoor, heb ergens gelezen dat de draadloze versie niet werkt ivm parasieten (storingen) Oja, de magneet is dus gekleefd op de trommel natuurlijk, gewoon met siliconelijm (tec7)



Ik reed ermee de transpyrenee en hij was steeds op de meter nauwkeurig met het roadbook , er is eigenlijk maar een nadeel aan en dat is dat je er een tweetal seconden moet op drukken (toets inhouden) om hem terug op nul te zetten, handiger was geweest een snelle druk en "hop", maar dat blijkt zo met alle fietscomputers, is eigenlijk normaal anders druk je hem misschien op nul terwijl je dat niet wil.

Maar reuzehandig, enorm veel functies en voor slechts 15 euro...

Nou ik weet een leuk klusje voor het voorjaar!

Heb nu bak en motor eruit liggen, alles reviseren etc.

Maar ik vind het een absoluut topidee!!

De draadloze is idd niet betrouwbaar, de draadjes verlengen is geen probleem.
Ik heb zelf eens de Sigma 1601 gemonteerd, hierbij zit ook nog eens achtergrond verlichting. (helaas voor slechts enkele seconden na het bedienen van de knop.)

Ik meen dat de Sigma 501 (nooit meer ergens kunnen vinden), zich op nul laat zetten door een korte druk op de knop.
